Job Description
- Plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily warehouse operations and activities including receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of items and supplies.
- Train, supervise and assign workload to warehouse and commissary employees.
- Receive, unpack, pack, load, issue, store and deliver materials, textbooks, supplies or equipment; complete packing slips for shipments as assigned.
- Supervise the processing of requisitions and complete requisitions for needed materials to assure adequate stock level.
- Schedule materials being transferred to and from warehouse, coordinates transfer of inventory between departments.
- Schedules materials being transferred to and from warehouse, coordinates transfer of inventory between departments.
- Conducts physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory and reconciles differences.
- Replenishes stock and inventory as needed.
- Placing of orders, monitoring of placed orders and inspecting of new orders to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Costing of new goods.
- Liaising with shipment department with regards shipping of items.
Requirements
- B.Sc in Warehousing, Logistics or any other related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in warehouse / inventory management
- Proficient in MS Office Suite especially Ms Excel.
- Hospitality or supermarket experience is an added advantage.
- Warehousing and stock control methods, operations and procedures
- Proficient with data entry and record keeping techniques.
- Excellent knowledge of QuickBooks, Ezeeburrp and EPOS software.
- Knowledge of any inventory and restaurant management software is a plus.
