We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Lead Utilities Engineer – Area A

Reference Code: PTP/2022/1/E
Location: LNG Plant – Bonny, Rivers

Tasks

  • To co-ordinate and provide utilities technology expertise to Production Units A/B/C, Area A to maximise plant safety, reliability, efficiency, and capacity and ensure process technical safety.
  • To interface with Production Support and integrate Utilities and Process Technology advice to provide the most optimized solutions to operate Area A.

Main Accountabilities

  • Coordinate and ascertain process technical safety assurance and compliance in Area A.
  • Coordinate and provide Technology advice/input to Area A including participation in
  • investigations, troubleshooting and provision of discipline assurance to processes and projects related to Area A.
  • Coordinate and ensure quality control and proactive technical monitoring of Area A processes to ensuring units are perform according to design.
  • Control and coordinate all documented advice to Area A, including expected and realized economic impact.
  • Support update and use of the following critical process safety documentation: Process Safeguarding Memorandum (PSM), process safeguarding flow scheme (PSFS), alarm and trip registers, hazardous area classification drawings, flare load diagram, plant operating manual.
  • Provide and control technological support to reduce environmental impact of NLNG operation by implementing the GHG management plan, minimizing flaring and optimize fuel consumption, minimizing waste generation and efficient waste incineration, optimizing effluent treatment.
  • Coordinate technological support to achieve maximum profit of NLNG through energy efficiency and minimizing trip frequency.
  • Contribute to preparing and or update of Utilities Masterplans to ensuring utilities capacity and sparing is always optimal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or other Engineering / Science disciplines at Second Class Lower Division (2.2) and above.
  • Minimum of 8 years post-graduation work experience in LNG Utilities Technology and Operations assignments. At least 5 years should have been spent in a similar position in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Ability to co-ordinate interfaces with Engineering, Assets, Operations, Maintenance, Technology and HSE are critical. Technical Authority 3 (TA3) in Utilities and Water Treatment.
