Job Title: PD HSE – Maintenance & Operations Officer

Tasks

  • To support the operationalization of an effective level-1 HSE Management System & risk controls and provide HSE Support to NLNG’s Production business (Maintenance) in the implementation of Integrated Safe Systems of Work (ISSoW) at the Coal face level to ensure safe operation and no harm to people.

Main Accountabilities

  • Support the facilitation of the operationalization of NLNG HSSE Control Framework compliant level-1 HSE Management System (HSE-MS) as an addendum of NLNG’s overall level-0 Corporate HSE- MS.
  • Ensure the implementation of HSE Critical Processes (PTW, MOC,etc) and ISSoW (JHA, TBT, LOTO, CSE, Unsafe Acts Auditing, HSEW, PFSO, etc) in Maintenance & Operations to prevent harm to people and damage to asset.
  • Support NLNG Maintenance & Operations contract holders in providing required HSE oversight during the execution phase of contracts in line with the Contractor HSE
  • Management Standards, ensuring full understanding of contracts execution HSE requirements at the frontline, and auditing for compliance as may be required to deliver Maintenance & Operations contracted activities safely and without damage to the assets and environment.
  • Ensuring Maintenance & Operations related incidents are investigated and reviewed at business level LIRP in line with established corporate procedure and learnings approved, actioned and disseminated appropriately to prevent re-occurrence or similar situations.
  • Facilitate the identification, documentation, assessment, and control of HSE risks associated with NLNG’s Maintenance & Operations Activities in line with NLNG HSE MS.
  • Facilitate the operationalisation of the competency assurance framework for all Maintenance & Operations personnel and contractors to ensure that requirements for execution HSE critical activities and tasks are continuously maintained; and HSE performance monitored and reported.
  • Operationalise NLNG’s defined corporate standards, tools and techniques at the Maintenance & Operations activities frontline (coal face) to consistently manage Personal Safety Risks to As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).
  • Drive and facilitate all HSE awareness campaign program to build the expected Safety culture within the Maintenance & Operations organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering, Sciences or Physical Sciences at Second Class Lower Division (2.2) and above.
    Minimum of 5 years post-graduation work experience, out of which a minimum of 3 years should have been spent in a similar position in a reputable organization preferably in the Oil & Gas industry
