We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Inst Engineer – IPF Test & SPI Asrn B & C

Tasks

  • To provide technical support to Areas B & C (i.e., off plots, Condensate/LPG/LNG Storage & Loading) plant operations and Area Maintenance Teams on field instrumentation issues to achieve set production targets and advise on necessary breakdown/scheduled maintenance thereby sustaining long-term integrity of instrumentation installations.
  • Custodian of Safety Critical Instrumented Protective Function (IPF) testing in accordance with Asset Management System (AMS) to facilitate plant integrity assurance.

Main Accountabilities

  • Operate maintenance contracts and budgets and provide relevant support to ensure long term operability of all field instruments under his care by planning upgrades and rejuvenation timely with minimal impact to plant turn-around duration.
  • Carry out all necessary safety critical functions as identified, assigned, and defined in the bowties to ensure that the effectiveness of the control barriers and recovery measures are maintained.
  • Conduct Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Assessment, design and implement robustness of identified Safety Instrumented Functions (SIF) as Certified Facilitator and Multi-disciplinary Team Lead to assure Areas B & C plant/asset integrity.
  • Develop, review and update procedures and work instructions required to carry out maintenance work safely, efficiently, and effectively under the responsibility of PEI/2. Carry out Field Observation Audits and Maintain Quality records relevant to his area of responsibility to enhance plant availability and integrity.
  • Liaise with instrument suppliers/vendors/manufacturers to ensure overall integrity and availability providing improvements input into obsolescence masterplan where and when required.
  • Develop strategy for “Ex compliance” checks and monitor the health check plant wide being the “Ex compliance” driver for the whole NLNG assets and prepare periodic report for management review in furtherance of plant/asset integrity assurance.
  • Develop adequate process for safety instrumented function (IPF) testing in line with AMS and ensure IPF testing activities are conducted as per schedule on the production or shutdown trains when required.
  • Provide technical input to Trip Investigation, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and be actively involved in troubleshooting and defect eliminations/corrections including advice on instrument spare parts availability and stock levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Sciences (Electronics / Electrical, Instrumentation, Control or Mechanical) at Second Class Lower Division (2.2) and above.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-graduation work experience in general field instrumentation in the oil and gas industry with at least 3 years in similar function in an LNG plant or in a petrochemical company.
