Job Title: Senior Inspection Engineer – Utilities

Location: LNG Plant – Bonny, Rivers
Tasks
- To assure that Plant Static Equipment in Utilities and off-plots are inspected to function as intended with ALARP risk to Asset, People, and Environment.
Main Accountabilities
- Implement continuous on-stream inspection surveys of the facilities; record inspection findings and provide feedbacks to optimize inspection plans and schedules.
- Implement shutdown inspection strategies and plans, based on data from previous inspections with focus on critical areas for future inspection and prepares Inspection Work List(s) for on-stream and shutdown of the specific equipment.
- Execute inspection of safety relief valves (SRV), pressure vessels lifting equipment in line with Statutory Requirements, approved Procedures, DEP’s, etc.
- Implement repair advice and ensure application of right materials, procedures, and appropriate NDT requirements for continued assurance of equipment integrity.
- Monitor and report local trends required to modify, as necessary, S- RBI predictions and recommendations to provide optimum inspection schedule in Utilities and off-plots area production facilities.
- Update S-RBI study with current equipment and piping statuses relative to the expected/selected corrosion/degradation mechanisms required for equipment monitoring.
- Coordinate the activities of specialist NDT personnel to ensure result accuracy and repeatability and compliance to Company and Code requirements.
- Implement/enforce radiation safety and other safety requirements in NLNG production facilities to ensure exposure to radiation is as low as reasonably possible (ALARP).
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering or Mechanical / Chemical / Engineering at Second Class Lower Division (2.2) and above.
- Minimum of 5 years post-graduation work experience with at least 3 years in welding, NDT or materials & corrosion and on-stream / off-stream inspection techniques in the Oil or Gas or Chemical industry.
