Job Title: Senior Rot Equip Engineer – Process T1-3 D

Tasks
- To provide technical assurance and support, ensuring that the technical integrity of rotating equipment in LNG Trains 1-3 is adequately safeguarded.
- To develop, enforce and optimise maintenance and operating strategies / standards especially on the Main Refrigerant Compression Trains to improve rotating equipment reliability and availability.
Main Accountabilities
- Carry out checks to verify the integrity and performance of the Rotating Equipment in LNG Trains 1-3 to meet company objectives for plant integrity and availability. Recommend solutions to correct underperformance and improve reliability of rotating equipment to ensure safe and effective operations. Contribute to in the investigation of Trains 1-3 trips. Carry out equipment failures and root cause analysis on Rotating Equipment to eliminate bad actors and un-reliability.
- Carry out all necessary safety critical functions as identified, assigned, and defined in the bowties to ensure that the effectiveness of the control barriers and recovery measures are maintained
- Participate in the planning and execution of scheduled inspections of Gas Turbines and Main Refrigerant Compression Trains to achieve safe and optimized outage duration without rework and under agreed premise and scope.
- Provide Rotating Equipment technical assistance to the operations and maintenance departments. Initiate and review Operations and Maintenance procedures for Rotating Equipment to ensure compliance to best engineering practices.
- Coordinate the Plants Equipment condition and Performance Monitoring Programmes for assigned area and participate in S-RCM studies to develop strategies for risk and reliability management.
- Review rotating equipment spares and advise PEM and CPM focal points to ensure timely availability of spares to minimize expensive emergency purchases and equipment out of service periods which may have impact on the objective of sustainable LNG Production. § Initiate Plant Changes to optimize operation and reliability of the Rotating Equipment portfolio to bring about continuous improvement.
- Providing QA services and advice to the Workshop and Maintenance departments as well as external repair shops regarding rotating equipment overhaul and repairs, to guarantee compliance relevant industry standards and DEP.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution at Second Class Lower Division (2.2) and above.
- Minimum of 5 years post-graduation work experience, 2 years of which must have been spent in this/similar role or in a Senior Engineering position in rotating or mechanical equipment on an LNG plant) or in a petrochemical plant.
